Child & Family Advocacy & Support Service (CFASS)
Do you feel that your case has been dealt with by judgmental, biased, unfair prejudiced or frankly stigmatizing attitudes when dealing with the Department of Child Safety (DOCS)?
The Child & Family Advocacy & Support Service (CFASS) will serve to protect and promote the interests of parents, relatives and their children who are in care or under investigation by DOCS.
The Child & Family Advocacy & Support Service has been created especially to focus on parents views and concerns.
We can help you have your say and get clearly heard.
We can help you with problems or complaints you can't sort out with your case worker, and we can make sure you have a say in decisions that affect yours and your children’s lives. We will support you to get things right.
We will:
Listen to parents and relatives - help them say what they want to say.
Give information & advice to parents and young people who are entitled to have their say heard clearly, and how they should be treated.
Support parents if they want to have a decision reviewed or complain about things they believe are wrong or misunderstood.
Refer parents and relatives to agencies that can really support and help them.
Represent and support parents and families at DOCS meetings where appropriate.
Database all parents and relatives court documents and communication from the department- review these papers and give parents and relatives straight answers and strategies for change.
Review, document and assess all parents and relatives attempts to fulfil Departmental expectations and communicate these to family’s legal support and their caseworkers if agreed upon.
Advocate for parents in regard to their contact rights.
If you're a Parent or relative who have children in the care or under investigation by the Department for Child Safety, then the Child & Family Advocacy & Support Service is here especially for you.
We can help you have your say and be clearly heard.

why does a group need to be formed to be heard by a government department?
Dont DOCS know how to listen????
Dont DOCS know how to interact with people already?
Dont DOCS know how to be experienced enough to sort problems out? is that not the whole idea of a case worker in the first place?
It seems DOCS have big heads on their shoulders, they cant accept the facts that they keep on stuffing up all the time and are getting tired of it being pointed out by the community because of something they just dont know how to do in the first place.
What proof can be provided to say this group or people are "experienced?" other than just a piece of paper??
What do "Mental Health professionals" have to do with so called child safety and DOCS stuffing up by allowing both my children to be sexually molested and moving my family a block of units away from the "VERY SAME CHILD MOLESTER" that my ex Partner and I tried to get away from in the first place while NSW housing Dept and DOCS both had knowledge of this person we were seeking to get away from???
And now because of DOCS in NSW i cant have any access with my kids in QLD.... like wtf. This place (going by what it says) sounds like it could be just as bad as DOCS itself.
Due to most people using this service without support or wasting our time( except for the few) we are closing this site
Thanks for the info about CFASS
Perhaps you should have saved your money and started some sort of parenting school so these parents who have their children removed or assumed can actually make the changes needed to ensure that their children are kept safe and free from risk of harm? Might find that you'd get support from more of the community rather than from parents who in reality, have made mistakes that have resulted in their children being placed in care.
