Great news, there is an international human rights lawyer who may represent us but he requires information to be sent to him regarding the group.

His name is DR. Curtis F.J. Doebbler & his clients include heads of state, governments, non government organisatons and, particularly some of the most vulnerable & oppressed individuals in the world.

Dr. Doebbler practices law before the International Court of Justice, the African Commission & Court of Human & Peoples' Rights, the Inter-American Commission & Court of Human Rights, the United Nations Adminsistrative Tribunal, & the United Nations Treaty bodies.

Prospective clients seeking pro bono representation need to provide the following information in several stages:

First Stage

1. A brief (2 to 5 pages) statement of the facts that you believe violated your human rights.

2. A statement of the dates, time & place of the facts (state if the violations are ongoing).

3. A statement of who violated your rights (state or individual).

4. A statement of what action you have taken to remedy these violations.

Second Stage

1. Power of representation signed & dated by the persons being represented or their closest living relatives or lawyer(s) or legal representation(s).

2. A description of the group being reprsented stating how many people are in the group & why they are considered a group.

3. All the evidence of the violations of your human rights violations that is available.

4. Copies (not original) of all correspondence & court papers concerning the violations of human rights in the case for which representation is being sought.

5. A general contact telephone number, email or fax.

6. Proof that the group being represented cannot otherwise pay for legal representation - generally this is in the form of a sworn statement.

Third Stage

If we mutually decide that a case should be brought then he (solicitor) will require:

1. A contact person with a phone, fax & email if possible.

2. Continual provision of information such as evidence like pictures or documents or affidavits etc.

3. Our continued involvement, unless circumstances prevent this.
