MIRROR DENIAL OF THE LARGE!

Here I am lying at the lagoon today minding my own business, working on my tan in my board shorts when a mature lady with a couple of her friends wonders by, obviously the world surrounds her oyster as her to friends could not get a word in edge-ways with this ladies nonstop chatter.

This mature aged lady that’s no spring chicken decides from her wisdom of medical experience to visually make a passing comment on the health of others while heading down the walkway near the lagoon.

This verbalised comment consisted of “that’s pretty bulimic wouldn’t you say” to her friends, one responded “you shouldn’t make such comments” ashamed of her friends comments.

Well I am just dumb founded how in denial people are of them self’s, these people feel they sleep easier at night putting others down that they have never meet nor know anything about.

It’s obvious to me that her comments have a more deeper meaning then just what she was stating, because we are not still in the old ages of three piece suits at the beach or attuned to old fashioned notions that fat is healthy and naturally slim is not.

Shore I could respond “well it’s better than carrying a couple of pigs worth of lard around isn’t it”, pointing out the fact she’s got emotional issues with her own weight or informing her that I feel physically sick looking at fat people in the same way, but I am not a caveman nor weak minded to lower to her level.

People look in the mirror each day and wish something about them could be better, but the fact is improve on what you have got rather than what other people already have.

Thinning the fat is worth millions of dollars; companies praying on your weakness through the idea that spending your weight equivalent on exercise equipment and diet foods to get rid of those extra rolls flowing off the sides will make you healthy.

At the end of the day all of these companies are taking your money just to say ‘Get off your behind, exercise at least 30 minutes a day; any physical exercise is good exercise & at least eat healthy 50% of your week with 3 meat meals will lose the weight and make you healthy the natural way’.

Naturally slim people there is no money into researching our gens for gaining fat cells, people say ‘eat more’ or ‘try a nutritionist’ etc, fact of the matter is with high immune systems and burn off factors neither work for most of us.

We can pull weights for muscle or steroids (not recommended by doctors) for mass; options at the end of the day don’t add fat that will stay, so when you look in the mirror; look at your true self, not what you pretend to be.

Steroids, Pigs and Worth

"Sure I could respond “well it’s better then carrying a couple of pigs worth of lard around isn’t it”,"

Wish you did, I would have loved to have heard the response to that.

I watched some documentary not long ago about steroids, if all was true they are not the evil they are made out to be.

Thanks for the reminder Brett that we should make sure even we find ourselves worth being around.
