Support The Aeroglen To CBD Cycleway

This cycleway according to the Cairns Post has come under threat from certain councillors and residents. It seems that certain businesses are also up in arms about car parking. Some concern is felt about muddies playground.

After much consideration by council staff and councillors, this plan has evolved as being the best option with least disruptions, with least road crossings and best safety features.

ANTI CYCLE CAMPAIGN

I have been informed by Cr Kirsten Lesina, Chair of the Cairns Pedestrian and Cycle Strategy Focus Group, Cairns Regional Council, that councillors have been inundated with anti cycleway emails.

Cr Lesina has requested me to contact cyclists asking you to email her with your support for the Aeroglen to CBD cycleway and any comments you wish to make about the bike route.

Information: http://www.cairns.qld.gov.au/ - go to the bottom of the home page "Get involved with council" and click on "CBD to Aeroglen cycleway".

I am marching from Cairns to Brisbane leaving father's day in protest against the department of child safety

People say I should get over Luke's death, move on. Move onto what? My life started when Luke was born, so did the abuse of Lukes by his mom, that actually started while he was still in her stomach. I havn't said much about this at all as I know Luke loved his mother, she only hurt him to get at me, she knew how much I loved Luke. You could not hurt me more than by hurting Luke, and that is exactly what the department of child safety did continuously, to the point of causing his death.
