My son loved me so much
Everybody saw how much Luke loved me. I could not get a baby sitter because he would never let me out of his sight. The thing that hurt Luke the most was not having his Daddy. He love me more than anything in the world because he knew how much I loved him, and got that from no one else. His previous foster carers booted him out the day before xmas.

They had me on supervised visits for 6 months
I have heard of other people getting longer and unsupervised visits after 6 weeks, they just did not want to take me into consideration, becaus of the domestic violence. They looked at me with hatred in their eyes and did not even stop to consider there are two sides to every story.

Yeah I have had kids with unsupervised pretty quickly after coming in to care and others that for years never get their kids alone. It makes it a very artificial inviroment for the children and leaves the parents unable to be themselves with their own kids. Of course some did do horrible things and can't be left to parent alone.
But you must know that was wrong of them after so long and if you never hurt Luke. You have to know others do not see you with that same look.
Show some intelligence and be constructive
What have you ever done for your children that helped them to get back to you. I dont back down either. I have nothing left to lose. But this forum topic is about my fight. If all you can manage is to be negative take it somewhere else and start your own forum. My boy died for a reason. He was put here by God to change this world and my responsibility to see that is carried on from here. I feel that DOCS workers deserve credit where credit is due. This is not about starting some hate club, its about fixing up something that will never be perfect, or what I think should happen, closing docs and starting with something fresh, a group run by more than just a hitler at the top and hitlers down below. Lets do something positive so all of this is not for nothing.

I am actually waiting for the results of the coronial inquest. I cannot talk about it too much, but I will to everything in my power to avenge my sons death. If I do sue the government, it will be for the right reason, not because I am after money. I am not and never have been a money person. No one gets away with doing what they did to my son.
If I did have plenty of money I would do everything to make sure my son is remembered, and this group of untouchables stops getting away with child murder.

Why do the children s courts hold the word of minimally educated Docs officers above the other professionals like court report writers, court clinicians and psychiatrists that say there are no mental heath issues yet Docs say there is .... Like with my case I was accused of being in a mental institution by my Ex and all of a sudden they say I have mental health problems! i have had the court clinician say I do not my GP say I do not and a psychiatrist who saw me after I was assaulted said all I suffered from was post traumatic stress syndrome, so I could be compensated.
And there are cases where Docs can be sued! A lawyer who I can name but not publicly takes on DOCS!!! can try to take the cases on.

Just found out one of the foster parents that have our children work for centrelink and has full access to our files, income and personal history. Centrelink has made every attempt to muddy our name in courts and have turned down all of our appeals at a local level due to the fact the main benefactor is one of their own workers. It seems that our office is the only office in australia who seems to believe we are not entitled to 14 weeks payment under section 23 under the family assistance act.
We have almost uncovered a real conspiracy to steal children by using government funded bodies and their resources for extra income for selected indivduals within their own system.
It would be nice to get some comments about this as DoCS and the others involved are relying upon the fact nobody really believes that this could happen in child safety.
Well Im here to tell people that not only families are being torn appart but they are being destroyed for the desire for extra income.
Why do DOCS make efforts to lie so much? There must be a motive or elese we join a long line of parents making similar claims of DoCS misleading courts but with no grounds for such accusations.
Some questions.
What do both DoCS and Centrelink have to gain by lying and risking the safety of children in doing so?
Why have our children been assaulted by police.
Why did the Centrelink foster parents make attempts to lie about the removal date of my children in an attempt to get #6000 of family assistance?
Why did we have to prove to centrelink the dates of the childrens removal to get our entitlments when the foster parents worked for Centrelink. They had all our court documents anyway.
The more we uncover regarding this the more we see them panic and try cover stuff up.
DoCS have been stealing children this for years for money and people can complain all they like as to DOCS tell porky pies but one needs to prove a motive as to why they tell lies.
I'll tell you. In total $18,000 in family tax benefits should expains things adequately. I can not think of any other reason as to why these idiots would tell such lies.

I would like to help you out and there are ways that do take a long time that you may get the children home.
A good lawyer that the judge respects is a must and legal aid have good ones don't worry but you have to look around and research.
Also get ready to bend over backwards to get the children, even if you did nothing wrong and you win the case, the judge will order for you to accept direction from DOCS, so hang in there as you are a fighter but no one wins against Docs which is why we all need to get together to have them disbanded.

All three are as bad as each other. I rang child safety complaints in Brisbane numerous times and never once did they do anything for me.

2: DOCS is conducted like everything else in this world, A business and as a Business are accountable when they get it wrong.
3: To have that independent body with far greater powers then DOCs, So Docs can be policed.
4: laws on Notifiers, If notifiers give false reports, They to are to be charged.

I am horrified at what I write. I shouldn't be shocked by anything that docs do though as I know the truth about this corrupt evil organisation.
I think it comes down to they see you (the parent) as the enemy and therefore can do what they wish. They take on the extreme punitive role. (Docs and corrections breed nasty workers who feel they should dish out the punishments themselves.) It isn't about child safety but about power games.
I personally think the only common link is the lying/ false allegations/ perjury. I don't think and see how money is behind all of it.
But once you start to play this legal game of theirs and expose their allegations against you as lies then they try to persecute you all the more and make your children suffer somehow too.
In my own story I started to uncover and prove their lies and they upped the anti. It was about egos.
It became a game of strategy.
It really is a case of ''we will make you pay you bastard!'.
And they know they can get away with it as they can continue to remain untouchable by law. The government has closed eyes to it's own departmental corruption.
So I think it is chance that the foster parents in your situation also work for centrelink. I don't think many foster carers work for centrelink. I will personally find this out - my friend was an ex employee of centrelink and another friend works for a NGO that assesses suitability for foster carer.

Like the Dept of Child Safety, the child protection unit of police is understaffed. This does not help anyone either, but it aides the DOCS workers. These people have no conscience. If loving your son meant that you kept him with you then I've no doubts that he'd be with you today however, for whatever reason, it was deemed that he was at risk of harm with you. I don't claim to know the answers or have any words of wisdom that will be able to take away your pain but trust me on this one - the workers who were involved with your son will be haunted..not because of their actions or what policy dictates to them but because, believe it or not, they are people. If your son was as cheeky and loveable as you said he was, I'm sure that he touched their hearts as well.. the thing is though that the same policy that places children in foster care doesn't allow it's workers to show any compassion or empathy. At the end of the day, the caseworkers are taking orders from above..and even if they don't agree with those orders they have to carry them out. And yes, I work in child protection (in another state) and I can tell you now, there's been many a night when I've come home and cried with my husband and my son - sometimes because I can't believe how cruel some parents are but other times because I can't believe how cruel the system can be at times. I always say to my husband that if loving your child meant that he/she/they stayed with the parents, then I'd have so little cases but unfortunately loving them isn't enough...it's not enough for the system to see that yes, parents make mistakes and yes, some of them and most that I've come in contact with, correct those mistakes and make the relevant changes.
Probably the only thing I can tell you, and whether you take it on board or not is your call, is don't go into this pointing fingers..admit what you've done wrong initially and then plant the seed of where the Department or whoever let you and your son down. If you admit your mistakes they have nothing to go on and you've already shot them down...then move on in pointing out their mistakes. If I've learnt one thing from working in this field for a number of years it's that sometimes pointing out the obvious doesn't always work in your favour - ask the questions and leave it up to someone else to answer..and if you don't get the answers then keep going. Stay determined in your fight because unless these battles are fought appropriately then there's a lot of children being harmed and questions going unanswered.

Yes I'm a docs worker but I'm
Yes I'm a docs worker but I'm also a mother and that is my main role in life - not a caseworker. When the day comes that I stop being affected by the cases I have, then in my mind that's the day that I need to quit. That's the day that my compassion runs out and I'm one of those sick and twisted caseworkers who I myself despise. One of those caseworkers who you described above and one of those caseworkers who I most definately am not.
In regards to fabricating documentation, let me tell you this, never in my career have I ever fabricated documentation..even when my own personal safety and that of my family has been jepordised..in each of those cases and all my cases I remain professional and as it's not my job to decide whether or not a child remains with his or her parents, I don't feel the need to fabricate information. As a worker, my role is to protect children however this is dictated by policy and management - who at times I don't agree with and while I do what I can to advocate for my families it's a very big battle that I know I won't win.

While I can say that I have never stood in your shoes and never will, I would like to think that you'd be adult enough to show me the same courtesy. My daughter was removed and placed with an addict father and all due to me leaving him and a case worker who said "in my country she would be stoned to death"
when the court saw what the case worker did the judge ordered an apology but had to ask him 5 times til I got a week verbal apology!
I got my daughter back but the damage was done and she never felt the same bond as her siblings who were never removed. She is now pre teen and has many behavior issues and anger issues, this includes suicidal tendency.

Jane there is nothing wrong with my conscious, I have tears over the pain these kids go thru because it's called having a heart..because I can't believe how cruel parents can be as well as how cruel the system can be. I wouldn't normally say something like I'm about to say but I'm over taking the brunt of people's anger on this site..I admit I'm a Docs worker, I admit that the system has faults..I wouldn't think that there was much to argue over given that in theory, both you and I seem to be fighting for the same thing - keeping children safe in an appropriate manner. With that said, sit back Jane and take a look at your life - how's your conscious? Clear is it? If your child/ren had been removed why don't you take a look at what you could have done to prevent it. Don't give me this shit about how your child was misdiagnosed with a catepillar bite because if that was the truth then you'd be angry at the doctors who gave that information to the docs workers to begin with. Lets be honest, if you're so angry at the Department then perhaps there may be some truth in what they said afterall.
And before you start branding me like all other docs workers, here's one rule of thumb I work with - show me respect and I'll give it back to you tenfold...treat me like shit and I'll return that favour too. That's not a caseworker thing, that's a me thing.

I'm bound by confidentiality and a lot of other politics that goes along with this job. There is a lot that I wish I could say but for privacy reasons I can't. And I can't go to the media as I will be leaving myself open to court proceedings that will see me loose everything. That being said though, I can talk in riddles as such and hope that people are able to read between the lines.
I have been a whistle blower..I have been present to see the horrible caseworkers that so many people on this site have been in contact with..and I have done something about it. One caseworker got sacked as a result of it but in all honesty, it doesn't make a difference. In a workplace where many people are on power trips and abuse that power there are more bad caseworkers than good ones.. I know that. Because I blew the whistle I'm not trusted at work by some of my colleagues however I can say that I'm more trusted by the families that I work with.
And while I'd like to think that I can make a difference and make the changes that are needed, I AM ONLY ONE PERSON. I do what I can for the families I work with..I can honestly say that I have more families that I'm working with who still have their children with them than families who I'm going through the court system with. And even when I do go through the court system, I always remind parents what their rights are and prompt them on what to say to their solicitors because it's not my job to decide if their children remain with them or not - it's up to the childrens court. I submit unbiased information for the courts to see and to make decisions on. I've even helped parents with their own affidavits and encouraged them to do more than what the Department is asking for because that way the courts will see that they go above and beyond what the Department has asked.
So while I sit here and read through the venomous posts directed towards me I kinda cop it sweet because after being in this job for ten years, I have had worse, heard worse and so forth. It comes with the job because it's not a nice job. I hate my job, I'm the first to admit it. BUT when I meet a family for the first time I do so letting them know what their strengths are as a family and as a parent and try to encourage those strengths so that if the shit ever did hit the fan, the courts could see what potential these parents have. I'm not saying that my style of casework is better or worse than any other caseworkers but I do know that in the years that I've worked for the Department, my style of working has seen clients welcome me into their home, ring me to let me know how they're going once the case was closed and children have drawn me pictures.
And because people here seem to focus on the tears I shed in my job, let me explain it the best that I can. Imagine seeing a child who had boiling water poured on her legs and received no medical treatment for over a week? Imagine seeing a child die from being shaken.. and yes, imagine parents being made to feel like shit because they've been blamed for something that they didn't do. That's what I see on an almost weekly basis. I say weekly because I'm one of the fortunate workers who builds rapport with families and works WITH them rather than one of those workers who goes in guns blazing, taking children and then asking questions. Keep in mind though, that us pleb caseworkers don't get to call the shots as to which child gets taken - that decision is made in the higher ranks, we just carry out the shit job.
I know that I will never understand the pain that you guys have been thru and what you go thru on a daily basis. I'm lucky that when I get home from work I can hold my baby and thank my lucky stars that I have him with me. There is not one day that goes by that I don't think that. But like I will never understand the pain of many of the people here, you will never understand why I do my job. I still have those rose coloured glasses on and like to think that I'm able to make a difference and a positive difference at that. So while I hate my job, I remain there for a variety of reasons...because I do want to see families prove the Department wrong. I do want to see families together and know that sometimes all that is needed is a bit of support, respite or a skill..and because the reality of it is, is that I have a mortgage and bills to pay as well as a family of my own. And while I'm expecting a flood of "You're a bitch caseworker", "Go to hell caseworker", "You'll never understand" and basically "Get f**ked caseworker" replies, I know that I've made this entry with honesty and integrity - much like I am in my job.
So bring on the insults, I've come to expect them on here. The strange part is if that some of you guys weren't yelling abuse at me I'd be able to understand where you're coming from a lot easier and be able to try to implement changes in my own work practice. But hey, that's never going to be enough and I know that because you guys are out for justice and I hope that you get it. For every sentence that I come up with, most of you guys seems to have some acidic comment to make back which makes me switch off but hey, I'm not here to impress anyone.

From a local office to the head office of Docs, All find away to squeeze out of their responsibility and or play buck passing.
This is due, cause from the very first moment I am told I frked my son and other children that I scream out compensation, started to run them down and stated they have a criminal record to.
The more I fought back, The more that was added to me, The more I scream out, The more I dont ever get to see my kids.
Seems Docs knows to, they frked up and are covering it all up, but the more they do that, it clearly shows that corruption, Even a blind deaf Spastic can see and hear that corruption 10,000 miles away.

Hello, that was refreshing to read. I agree with you, working in this sort of industry you would see lots of different situations and the abuse comes as part of the territory. I know as I experience simular as a mental health nurse.
I just rang a solicitor again about if I have a case to take the CSO to court for all the crap that she wrote against me. The solicitor on the phone was not nice to me and in fact rather curt. I left feeling like crying.
I do believe as a parent who has experienced all this stuff first hand that the legal tape is difficult to understand and this is where the corrupt cso has the upper hand, they know how to twist it to get their win. The parent (and child/ren) is left completely trampled over.
It is hard to make sense of how this all happened in my life. Yes, Iknow there are those who say 'own up to the fact that you played a part in it'. Oh, yes, I own up to the fact that I rang, I had a pity part and whammo the story that unfolded was something out of a science fiction movie!
Do I become one of those that just simply fades away? I feel for the sake of my off spring that I owe it to them to do my best to somehow make other aware of what really happened. Hence the book - the only way now that I can see is to become creative.

Hey they did the same to me, some parents still are. The ones that have their kids with some horrible sounding foster parents do pretty much take it out on me. I get it and I am extrememly stubborn.
But if you can see past the anger and stick with it I really believe these people are worth knowing and their stories are a good way to understand more about what the parents go through.
I guess you have better first hand experience than I do with mums and dads so this is my only way to find out how the parents feel.

Large sibling groups are already split up, and NGO already handle out of home care, I am starting to think you are lieing about being a foster carer because groups like Life without Boundaries and Wesley delmar already do the out of home care for Docs, shouldn't you know that? They are called Life Without Barriers not Boundaries and I have seen them treat children worse than DoCS.

I think many people who are pro DChS just assume that all parents who have their children taken off them are in a D.V relationship, insane, have D & A issues, are unemplyed, are homeless or grossly neglect their children and physically abuse them. But what about the the parents who do NOT fall into those categories and DChS go hard at trying to make a case against these parents.
DChS like to lead people into some sort of confession rather than using open ended questions through their interview techniques.
Now did I ever tell you guys I was booked in to give inservice to the actual branch that took my son off me and was going to provide inservice to them on issues that they were trying to nail on me.
Well, I never did go through with this as I was seconded into another area and therefore had to cancel. But I was fully ready to go there and talk to these DChS workers. I realise that many of these workers are ignorant on the areas of mental health, drug and alcohol issues, D.V etc and like to make sweeping judgements.
Children are taken off parents and placed in homes that are way worse than the ones they came out of. I nkow this for a fact. I have witnessed it first hand.
I've said it before and will say it again. DChS do not operate with the best interests of the child at hand. Flexing EGOS and legal muscle. (dykes) with chips on their shoulders out to prove a point.
I must admit the good foster parents like the sounds of Jewely would have to be far and few between. Jewely don't just assume that all foster parents are to your standards.

I have had No contact with any departmental workers since Nov/Dec last yr in SA. QLD has pass that buck all over the place and added more to it.

court meeting
I was in a out of court meeting yesterday.My sons solicitor was there,my ex partner with a bright red face from alcololism with his solicitor,D.O.C.S case worker, her manager and their solicitor,a court attendant and myself,my dad and a family friend.My barrister by phone contact.The case worker who is young and never had children sat their like a statue not moving and her manager sat there with guilt written all over her face.They looked like wax figures ,ignorant and cold.It was obvious they were doing this out of revenge and to cover their incorrect actions.My sons solicitor asked them a question and they could not answer.Docs solicitor looked like an upstart young ladder stepper that joked in the court room that he only gets paid 40$ an hour and that he is over worked and laughed with My ex partners solicitor about how much he gets paid.Docs said we want to reduce the mothers contact. I unfortunetly got upset and said please don't do this to me. I love seeing my son.I knew there and then they were trying to push me out of the picture to break the bond between my son and I.My sons solicitor was on to them and they became agitated and nervous every time he asked them a question.When I got upset my ex partner laughed,when my solicitor spoke they got nervous.You could sense the guilt and negligence from these people and it was obvious to me as well as my sons solicitor they were hiding something.The case worker who hates me sat there with only one agenda not my sons happiness or safety but to prove a point.She is the most coldest ,plastic,unintelligent ,arrogant person I have ever met and she wants obviosly to become a manager one day so she has ulimate power.Even my ex-partners solicitor seemed like he knew it was wrong but because he is getting paid to defend a drug addict alcholic he had to keep his profile.I knew this was all wrong and they are very negligent and when Docs are negligent of taking a child without good grounds.They will lie, cheat and attack with full force.So you see if I had taken drugs or done something wrong and they had good grounds to take my son, then I would of had a better chance of getting him back.I know of woman thatleft her baby locked in a unit and authorities had to bash the door down to get it out.Their child was returned in six months.But when they illegally take your child you will lose.

I know very well some kids get taken without good reason or real proof or because someone screwed up somewhere. I get it here a lot - people go "oh the poor things what did the parents do?" Nothing that I can see - is my usual response.
Wish I knew how to obtain this justice. What seems obvious to all of us isn't out there in public.
People don't know that some kids and parents are ripped away from each other because someone messed up and then proceeded to watch their back a lot.
I Have seen both side of the fence.
I do agree with the foundation of a department that protects children.
When that notion first appeared it had logics with good intentions.
Then people in that department,Started to break their own laws. Some, have been molestered or abused at some point in their lives and are now in a position to take vengeance.
Then you have Uni students,fresh out of Uni,with no Iota to life,Reading from a text book,being a repeater, Now working in Docs, No kids, no relationship, all of 22 yrs old,Telling parents how to be a parent.How to hold a child correctly. When these Docs workers havnt a bloody clue to what it even feels like to be a parent.
I have seen children abused by parents, I have seen the after effects done to children, But, Parents are not the only abusers, Docs, without a doubt are the biggest abusers to children then any human, Now families are included, to where Docs will abuse, The man suffers the most.
I have seen Docs workers use their charm on a female(mother/wife/Gf/Woman) How they will belittle them, demoralize them, twist their words to suit Docs. Force them to make a choice.
I have seen Cops jump at the commands of a Docs worker.
I have seen fabrication added.
I have seen how Docs treat children while in their care. how Docs manipulate these children.
But, No where is there a department that protects any Parent,When Docs becomes the Nazis.
No where is there any rights for any parent/s - Families concerning the abuse from a department so hell bent in murdering normal stable families.
This corruption leads all the why to the QLD pm, Includes the CMC,the ombudsman, The minster of Docs and the minister of police.
They all know about it and will then apply new laws to only protect themselves, The Government gave DOCs a license to murder and that Immunity,cause government knows Docs get it wrong,As the Forde Inquiry pointed out.

I think Woods even spoke to two foster children while making the report. I don't think he spoke to any parents that felt shat on though.
I haven't read the Forde Enquiry - was this the one written awhile ago like 1999? Yes another one is needed. But of course someone getting it all on paper is one thing - it's the events afterwards that will matter.

Now I am not going to be popular when I say =No it was Drugs that killed Luke by the sound of it. I agree with your Dad they dont just take kids for nothing.
Drugs are the cause- and grog of many of these problems.
I will agree with 'two things' a few of you have been saying however.
The first is the Australian Government ARE to blame for ALL of these kids suffering.
No two ways about that! Until they CONTROL child birth in this country children WILL continue to suffer.

Who allows people to have kids if they are on drugs under-aged or with alcohol problems.

Some of these kids that Foster parents mind are the kids of the kids that they used to mind.

Sure I get it that people dont understand, its wrong in the first place to have children you dont pay for AND want FREE legal advise.

Suspicious by nature it might be a good idea to check out any connections.
People need to be mindful however of what they are saying. Especially if you have matters up before hearings.
Ie. You cant say Centre Link or Docs are crooks without proof.
The reason being is you own your comments. 'If DOCS asked for your Ids the Web master would in fact have to provide it if issued a court order.
Then they can sue and make life even more difficult (Especially if you own your own home)
