Send to friendI am fortunate enough to be like those on this forum that appreciate and at times,
am awestruck, at the beauty of the animals that inhabit this planet. I am not going to complain anymore about the abuses and cruelty of them, I am going to try and do something to help them.
The illegal Japanese ‘research’ boats are continuing to slaughter whales that live in a whale sanctuary, in Australians waters. Our government do nothing to stop this. In fact, it has been revealed that our government are allowing Japanese spy planes to take off from Australian soil, to spy on the anti-whaling boats, so they can steer the slaughterers to waters where they will not be interrupted. This week the whalers deliberately rammed a small whaling vessel that could have killed those men and women on board, who are already risking their lives in an attempt to save these poor creatures
I am not looking to recruit members for another forum, or asking for donations, or trying to sign anyone up to any organisation, I just want people to use the 2 links that I have supplied to email the Japanese Government and the Australian Government and give these animals a voice. A simple statement like: Stop Killing Whales Now
would be all that is required. We are trying to get 100,000 signatures in 90 days, and we believe that if we do it whilst the issue is making headlines, then we have a much better chance of people following through. We ask that people take 2 minutes out of their day to send the emails, everyday, 10 times a day if you want to, if you bookmark them it will be no trouble at all.

We are not presenting a one off petition with a 100,000 signatures, that would not really be a major inconvenience to these politicians, instead the emails, every day, day in, day out serve as our signatures, and are a daily reminder to those that are allowing this to continue.
To help us keep a running total on the number of signatures, we ask those that take the trouble to do this to email frequently to : informationforsurvey@gmail.com
and just send the number of emails that have been sent. Asking family and friends who take an interest would be great as well.

Ok I do love animals. It's a start. I disagree on the needless slaughter of these creatures.
Having said that, an extremist point of view is not called for in this situation. If you would like to gain support for this endeavour then I reccomend actually putting up a link that states:
A: Where the information is that states that "Japanese spy planes ... take off from Australian soil" is located.
B: WHY the Australian government would actually allow a foreign military (apart from USA [only legal non-Australian military bases on Australian land]) to launch from our soil.
I don't say these things to insult, I just think that by saying you need to be able to confirm your accusations and present a more educated view, as I would be interested in seeing this evidence.

I will start by saying that I also, do not say anything to insult, but my time, to me, is better spent helping these creatures that can't help themselves, rather than answering questions that really could have been answered 10 times quicker by doing a google search rather than typing out your post.
I am not here to argue or satisfy others' curiosity, my post is solely for people that want to dedicate 5 minutes of their day sending 2 emails to help stop the slaughter of whales. And my post is providing convenient links to do so. If people have concerns about what is true and what is not, they could do a google search.
Also, why have you mentioned the military? I don't get this comment, we are talking about whaling, and planes that are spying on the protest ship.? There are many types of espionage, industrial etc, so I do not know how the military came into the equation.
And as far as extremist point of view...uh..their killing the whales...we want them to stop...they rammed protesters and put their lives at risk..we want them out...not very extremist.
Mums, Dads, kids, all join in this cause, hardly extremists.

According to google there are 332 links with the words

in them...you could look at them all. Every major and lots of minor daily newspapers carried the story, it isn't hard to find,
but I'm not posting all of them.

I'm sorry if I offended you that wasn't my intention. I just want all the facts when a post like this is put on as it makes it easier for someone like me, who lives in the middle of nowhere and has to pay extortionately for getting online at an hourly rate.
The reason that I mention military is that there are only two ways planes can leave this country. International airports or military bases. The assumption that a "spy-plane" left our soil has the subtext that it is a military plane. As I didn't truly think that a random commercial flight with excessive radar capacity would be allowed to take off from private airports... However this is Australia.
Thank you for reposting a few links it made it much quicker to check on and helps to support your case a lot more.
My thoughts are more toward the fact that commercial flights leaving Australia should be checked as much for their purpose rather than their passengers.

You definitely did not offend me. There are military, International, domestic, regional, and probably private airstrips in this country.
Noone would need excessive radar or a single radar. The whalers simply hire a private plane from any of the numerous options, fly to the region where the protest ship The Sea Sheperd is, sight the ship by eye, and report by radio, mobile phone or whatever, the exact position to the ship that is killing the whales, and the whaling ship hunts in a different direction.
I didn't post the links originally because it has been plastered all over the news and TV, so it was just a given that people would be aware.
The comment about an extremist view does border on offensive, really the only extreme thing about it is most people will comment about how shocking it is, how they should stop the killing etc, but not many will actually lift a finger to do something, but those who do do something are going to extremes... simply by doing.But the view is not extremist...because most people have the same view...stop the slaughter.
Now, are we getting some signatures from you?
