Peril of Night Crawlers to Nations

Australia has seen boat people arriving into our waters since 1976, the first reported wave was in Darwin with the next five year thereafter bring 2059 asylum seekers to our shores. The types of people seeking asylum consist of people being displaced, tourists/ trained gorillas and drug smugglers.
From 1989 there were 300 per annum to 1999 mostly from countries such as Cambodia, Vietnam and Southern China. In 1999 Australian saw their first waves of boat people coming direct from the Middle East from countries such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and Other.
In 2001 – Feb 2008 it was reported 1637 boat people were captured and detained in Australia facilities of these 1153 re-settled and 705 of the 1153 were resettled in Australia.

Since 1999 in Australia Temporary Protected Visas (TPVs) were issued giving asylum seeks permanent status with access to job access, special benefits, rent assistance, family tax benefits, child care benefits, medicare, health assessment and intervention programs and counselling services care of the Australian Tax Payer.
Australia Temporary Protection Visas (TPVs) Breakdown since 1999
Afghanistan 3661 Iraq 4269 Iran 475 Other countries 507 Total = 8912
On top of these TPV’s holders may apply for the further Protection Class XC visas to gain Permanent Status with 90% approved. With a permanent status certificate this allows asylum seekers to obtain public servant positions if choosing.
These people cost Australian Tax payers 10 Billion per year annually to house and process them. Tax payers money is money that the government collect and may gain a surplus annually from the Australian public via the ways of goods and services, including but not limited to financial year endings tax.
This money is also what the government uses annually for infrastructure frameworks and public services. The government then may opt for the option of borrowing money from world banks against the economy’s strength/assets to support further expenditure that’s paid back with interest to that bank.
The Australian people feel that we need to do something more than just throw money at such problems, as that only surprises the problem for a period of time as stated in the paragraph above.
In knowing that asylum seekers directly these days are coming from the countries stated above, that they must pass by countries such as India, Sir Lanka and Indonesia.
More often than not these countries hope that boat smugglers keep going to avoid having to take responsibility, not to mention spend on protecting their own local waters. These counties will only capture these people when boat smuggles run into trouble off their own shores.
Tax payers do not, nor will stand by with such proposals of handing money to these countries to support their own borders, we are not a charity to countries that can support their own economics, our money is to run our country not other peoples countries.
If we are to continue accepting boat people into our country then the Government/UN needs to intervene world wide with a bill that makes countries responsible for the financial costs countries endure by other countries for accommodating and processing their people even if we send them back.
This will tell these countries that their priority is their people that allowing them to illegally depart and enter other countries without pursing them through international waters will cost them financially.
In addition to this other options available are supplying these boat smugglers with food, blankets, a check up via the navy and refuelling in accordance to humanitarian help then turned around to whence they came.
Space is a problem on islands to maintain these people we need to think more modern in our approach with technology readily available. With such technology we can place these people with zones on mainlands without fences with infrastructures that help these communities to become self sufficient, maybe even produce.
These Settlement zones are of cause monitored and all asylum seeks tagged with neck bracelets that if they try to escape the zoned area or tampered with will automatically put them asleep and anyone around them for a 5km radius, in turn this tag alerts the monitors of their location for retrieval and deportation without a chance of visas a zero tolerance policy.
This zone is done with a Frequency Tower much like a communication tower that can adjust zones and strength of frequency as seen fit much like a mobiles reception, which also can lock the zone down completely in the case of a riot. Monitors and guard houses would be situated outside this zone with only the receiver tower within.
The benefits are Asylums seekers feel less caged in with a somewhat limited freedom; a community that come sustain its self by is residence that wish to contribute free will and a more humane living standard by allowing these people to build extra facilities for them self’s via projects.

Oh Brett Brett Brett !
Not only is Australia still an embarassment across Europe, and many third world countries due to the inhumane way it has treated its own indiginous peoples for well over two hundred years and also the huge embarrassment of THE STOLEN GENERATION and now the NEW STOLEN GENERATION that is occurring under our noses.
We this so called lucky country is also a HUGE embarrassment to the rest of the world when it comes to refugees/boat people. We only take a very minimal amount of refugees/boat people in comparison to the rest of the world who take many thousands every year.
These people who risk life and limb to travel across oceans to a better life have a right to escape countries where there is hopelessness and despair, cruelty, death and nil human rights.
The Children Overboard scandal of the liberal Government re: Mr Reith and his propaganda is just another embarrassment to the lucky country.
The truth is we in our Western World counrty are a minority whilst the Majority of the world starves and dies on a daily basis.
If i were a mother in Afgahnastan having to tolerate cruelty, rape of my children and villages after villages being wiped out by Taliban forces and drug lords i'd be on a boat with my children also.
There are thousands of people in third world countries that have been walking for ten years straight across deserts, only to be told to keep walking, these people have webbed feet and die of starvation along the way.
Our taxes ... we must be a part of human aid and assisting refugees on humanartian grounds.Human rights for all peoples, not just we in the lucky western world.

Re: Peril of Night Crawlers to Nations / Human Element
We accept people and their traditions and part of our own design and communities as in the days of Imperial Romans.
In relation to accepting fewer Asylum seekers then other counties is due to the fact that as a county we situated majority along our coastlines, we don't have a land that is complete throughout in populous via numbers.
Without the same strength of other countries that and greater in numbers then our own that are dense throughout their lands we are limited to how much help we can offer.
We offer allot to the point we offer more then we can afford via the annual budget, we borrow money from world banks and put up taxes to keep the dept down, and we owe billions.
Our own people come first we have and always need to put our own people first and help those in need that are not our people where we can.
Australia is not an embarrassment to the rest of the world in regards to the British design, this was a practise in one quarter of the world via approach, and ALL COUNTRIES have been through the same growth problems and iron out eventually.
If you have lived in other countries and/or travelled other countries you would be aware of this and the efforts each country has taken to find a unison understanding and approach in working together.
Sure there are horror and war continuously around the world, as a human race this is a show of strength, it’s the bleeding process of developing countries that may also be interfere with via other means then just politics.
We Help Where we can..

Re: Peril of Night Crawlers to Nations / Human Element
Yeh well after we get rid of the NGO's for raping our children, we'd have a lot more cash to help and subsidise other third world countries. Bye Bye NGO's ........
PS: Hey Brett, ur real good at finding stuff, maybe u can find figures and put into table for us a comparison of how much money the government spends on "dole bludgers" vs Foster Care System ... xxx Marney
Re: Peril of Night Crawlers to Nations / Human Element
Thank You for the support. It is about finding the right solution to the problem not about pushing under the carpet..
As for the spending sprees I am sure some things of interest may arise closer to the election.. :o)

Re: Peril of Night Crawlers to Nations / Human Element
i know where the foster carers money goes to for my child. told us other dad goes to the club. how wonderful! and meanwhile my child dresses like the clothes mopped the floor!
Re: Peril of Night Crawlers to Nations / Human Element
I know I have covered a bit but also I would like to take this opportunity to point out to foster carers..
You do get a clothing allowance each year if you require further assistance by Social Workers for such things as:
Clothes for activities such as uniforms ect..
Assistance in travel
Assistance in membership for these children
Assistance in any form that is for the child
All you need to do is write a letter or email to your social worker in relation to your request and they will try to get the extra assistance you require.

Re: Peril of Night Crawlers to Nations / Human Element
WOW......WOW............WOW>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
may as well leave the arrows...hey, nice little foster carers- is it significant of undervalued children in our society that foster carers can even apply for these things??(because they have TO PAY PEOPLE TO TAKE THEM?)think about it-children are constantly called sacrificial beasts..NO? then WHAT ARE "KIDS?"
HEAR ME!!!!!
HEAR ME!!!!
my grandson trudges 10 ks home, crossing hugely busy roads, just to be safe,
from a misled female at refuge especially.
Really nice child-
He had no clothes.except the shirt on his back, and shorts.he had bed bugs on the shirt he wore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we had no extra income, and rent took 95% of it.....
CENTRELINK refused to pay for him-14 weeks
He had no clothes (yes, he likes to dress clean/neat.
we got one voucher from charity....for $40.00 for the whole time-spent very judiciously (hate having to beg, awful)
had to beg to pay the electric too...awful
We applied to vinnies for some clothes, and because I said he'd cheer up a lot, with the tai kwon do suit, they abused me-so I left
Salvos simply refused.(do they know I was a victim in their orphanage?long ago?)there was a lesbian "major" child molester there!!!!
(we gave generously to these groups in the past)whole housefuls..(not in this town, but they inter-gossip?...why?
neighbours gave him some clothes...Thanks
and we had a big bag of rice-someone else gave us..
we had to try to sell whatever we could...slim pickings...
I'd go daily to try to find the cheapest foods on special..exhausting..
Then one of us got a job........
now, I find out the local scan team had, at THAT time- made many things impossible for me to obtain help, even his rights to education etc.with technical subterfuge, and local compliance and prejudice..wow..guess who heads that????yep, the refuge director he needed to escape from!aged 7 years.!!!!EVIDENCE.......abounds
WOW WOW WOW
one evening, before he went to sleep, whilst he barely had any clothes, he asked how he could give them to homeless children...
he wants to have a charity for homeless children...
THE HEART IS OUT OF CHARITY....WHO OPENED THE GATES OF HELL??????to let them in????????holy dollars speak louder than holy hearts....These are charities(?) in the name of CHRIST JESUS...wow wow wow..........wow...they had tons of clothes-they are DONATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!I even offered to return them, once we could buy some,wow..wow....WOE WOE WOE
FORGIVE THEM JESUS FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO...(?)these ones do know.(bless them that curse you, for in doing so they shall incur burning coals upon their heads)sad thing is, this child would not like that...he wants good things for everyone......a forgiving heart--
now he has good food, nice clothes, and we are grateful...battle not done yet.....foster carers should get the same $ as we do....then, maybe there would only be a few genuine ones-or should we get the same as foster carers.?.......money can't buy love. it does buy food and clothes..(or booze and fags).I had a foster carer as a teen, for a short stay; she drank alcohol, stayed in her room, drank, smoked, and the house was full of neglect.full of unhappy teen girls, who took care of themselves..bad food..WOE.
I wrote reams of letters, for help, to reams of identities, nothing..Mr. Hutton, you make life seem so easy, or is it, for the few???
WHO OPENED THE GATES OF HELL????
work hard for the truth, then stand aside,to let them in......they are judging themselves.................their hearts are FAR from Christ..actually, it is sad.they are blind,& naked, so very pitiful. ANGELS surround the little children victims , HEAVEN is their home...God may have chosen his highest Angels, to be here but a short time, as little children...sweet as Heaven...
note- this is not directed to the few decent foster people-but, you should all be called AUNTS and UNCLES only ok,
Re: Peril of Night Crawlers to Nations / Human Element
P.S you are right those just because the a child of care they still deserve to be treated as if they were your own..
I had crap clothes growing up and started buying my own at 15 some people have not taste and I would like to say this:
It is better to buy clothes that are a little more expensive for durability and quality not to mention these children are already ostracized and find it hard sometimes to fit in DON'T MAKE IT HARDER FOR THEM.
Secondly children like presents and a small one at Christmas is something..
Thirdly allot of these children come from places for many reasons, parents be incapable of sustaining them is one.. feed them properly

Re: Peril of Night Crawlers to Nations / Human Element
As a country we a very multi cultural diverse with an understanding of most cultures around the world.
This is a problem and a problem that not only is a problem within Australia but in New Zealand and America..
There are two types of foster parents the one that are trained and want to offer a safe environment for children and there are those that feel they are just helping but their own childhood gets in the ways of the right vision.
Being a foster child myself growing up via both the warfare system and Barnardo’s from a young age I have live with 7 different families two of those being boy’s homes one of which was closed down by human rights.
Children are a difficult subject we cannot just throw them in one barrow stating they are all alike because they are far from it..
The problems foster parents face would depend on the age a child has entered the system and what’s brought them there to start with.
The selection process of a parent is not a easy one and places like the Docs that are as bad as places like America when it comes to finding a good home that’s not going to continuously torture or torment these child in the remembrance of their misfortune isn't an easy one to say the least.
Place like the Docs need to be more like big brother when it comes to their children living in foster care. They need to continuously monitor and make strict decisions in the first signs that things are not of the normality.
As in my country the child is the one that make the final decision as protocol for Barnardo’s, This way the child wishes are respected and finding them a place where they them self’s feel safe is of the most importance, social workers or real parents and foster parents may have doing what they feel is right in mind.
But is it right in that child’s mind.
