I whole heartedly agree with you in principle, we should enjoy freedom of speech but its tenuous in NSW at best AND there are huge variance in written policy of peoples "rights" and actual "standards" by the NSW Labor govt.

But I will remind you of the sudden defunct state of another site who embarrassed another NSW State Labor Dept where disabled school students were being abused by the school. Massive threats were made and physical violence followed. This included a car jacking and assault to name 1 event.

Sydney Indymedia was gone abruptly and a far far weaker one that did not discuss issues in depth eventually took over as a mirror.

but they were not a patch on the original

there was also a major newspaper that had a real blog on general crime and corruption
