If memory serves, Ian Boswell is a fat dude, borderline obese. That would explain why he's to lazy to consult with government scientists on global warming.

If he bothered to do so, he'd discover that global warming could cause a freeze in northern Europe and the British Isles if the Elevator Current stops. It will probably stop when the Greenland ice sheet melts.

Boswell may not be very smart, but it would be a good idea if he picked the brains of people who know about something before shooting his mouth off and displaying his lack of intelligence for all to see. He is supposed to be wanting to run the country, after all!
